Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)

When found this amulet has 4(1d6 + 1) charges. As long as it has 1 charge it gains 3(1d6) remaining charged back at dawn.

The Amulet of Sacrifice has multiple types depending on the energy it is charged with. They are listed below.

Burning: The damage is fire type.

Freezing: The damage is cold type.

Scalding: The damage is acid type.

Stinging: The damage is poison.

Shocking: The damage is lightning type.

To recharge the amulet after all of the charges have been spent requires it being exposed to a powerful source of elemental energy. Examples include dragon's breath and any number of spells of the same type that add up to fourth level so you could use one 4th level spell or four 1st level spells.

The actions that can be taken with the amulet are listed below.

Sacrifice: As a reaction, when a creature you can see takes damage they instead take no damage and you take all of the damage unless you are resistant or immune. This action costs 1 charge

Death Burst: When a creature attuned to the amulet dies a cloud of that amulet's damage type erupts outward for 120 ft. It deals 25(5d10) damage of the amulet's type to enemies of that creature and heals 25(5d10) for allies. The creature who killed the person attuned to the amulet takes double damage and are hit even if they aren't in range. If the creature dies due to the Sacrifice feature the damage/healing increases by 10(2d10). It deals/heals 5(1d10) extra damage per charge remaining. This action uses all charges.
