Argynvost's Vengeance

LN Sentient Rapier

The rapier is a long thin blade with a bone white hilt and guard. A single yellow gem is seated into the hilt and radiates a dim light.

+3 Weapon

1d8 radiant/piercing damage

Sentience: The rapier has a fragment of Argynvost's soul living inside the rapier. The rapier has 18 INT, 16 CHA, and 16 WIS. The soul of Argynvost has a particular hatred for vampires and undead and if the wielder does not immediately slay undead in sight of the rapier, it will deal 1d4 psychic damage every minute that the undead is within sight. The rapier can be persuaded that killing undead is not necessary on a DC 24 Charisma check and will not damage the wielder for 24 hours.

Telekinesis: The rapier can be commanded to move and attack within 30ft of the wielder. It is considered threatening for game mechanics purposes.

Rear Guard: As a reaction, the wielder can recall the rapier to them, giving themselves a +2 to AC until the end of that turn.

Vengeful Smite: When the wielder uses Smite, the rapier's blade glows white and deals an additional 1d8 radiant damage.

Blinding Light: The rapier can emit a flash of blinding light on up to three creatures of your choice within 10ft of the rapier. The creatures make a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be blinded for 1 minute. The creature can attempt to make another save at the end of each of it's turns to return it's vision. This ability can only be used once a day and regains this ability on the next dawn.
