This amulet is carved from a single piece of wood and is adorned with the symbol of a wolf's head. When worn by a monk, the amulet enhances their connection to the spirit world and allows them to channel the power of animal spirits.
The Amulet of the Spirit Walker grants the following benefits when worn by a monk:
- The monk gains proficiency in the Animal Handling skill if they do not already have it.
- Once per short rest, the monk can use their action to summon the spirit of a single animal to aid them in combat. The monk must choose one of the following animal spirits: bear, wolf, eagle, or elk. The summoned spirit takes the form of a spectral creature that appears to be made of mist and light. The spirit has the following statistics:
- AC 15
- HP equal to the monk's level + their Wisdom modifier
- Speed equal to the monk's speed
- The spirit can use the Help action as a bonus action on the monk's turn to aid them in combat.
- The spirit remains for 1 minute or until it is reduced to 0 hit points, at which point it vanishes.
- Once per long rest, the monk can use their action to enter a state of trance, during which they can communicate with animals and plants as if they shared a language. The monk remains in this state for 1 hour or until they use their bonus action to end it.
This magical wondrous item is well-suited for Sasquatch Monks who value their connection to nature and the spirits of the animals that inhabit it.
