An analog device used to aid astronomical calculations and observations. An astrolabe cannot be operated without tool proficiency in its use.
If you have proficiency in its use and you are on the appropriate plane, then an astrolabe gives you advantage to skill checks for cartography, navigation, and nature and survival skill checks related to determining the time, date, inclination, and latitude.
Additionally, an astrolabe doubles your proficiency bonus with Cartographer's Tools and Navigator's Tools.
