Originally this bow belonged to Nasher Alagondar, the first king of Neverwinter. As a reward to his loyal guards, known as the Neverwinter Nine, he bestowed gifts on each. This bow was given to Talven and travelled with him to his holdings in the south reaches of what was to become known as Neverwinter Wood. The longbow is magnificently made, with the masterly cut scales of a dragon along the front limbs above and below the grip. The scales appears to have a dark blue hue and it almost feels like you can see something swirling within. The rest of the bow is made of an unusual rosewood that is only now found near the Sea of Fallen Stars The grip looks to be made of platinum adorned with small sapphires and a crest on either side. The same crest is visible at the top and bottom of the limbs embellished within a scroll like platinum finish. The bow is of extraordinary craftsmanship and clearly once belonged to someone of high office, probably royalty. Although the bow is clearly of some ancient design it shows no sign of wear and no matter how much you try dirt will not adhere to it. Holding the bow you are imbued with a feeling of confidence, almost like it has your back. It is by far the most expensive item you are likely to have held.
At level 1-7 you have +1 to hit and +1 damage with arrows fired from this bow. This increases to +2 at levels 8-14 and +3 at level 15 onwards.
In addition you have another +1 if the creature you are shooting at is a dragon.
You have advantage on saving throws against fear and advantage against any Dragon breath attacks.
You can also detect dragons within 120 feet at the bow warms to the touch as you get closer.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
