While holding this shield, you have a +1 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC.
A Shield of Throwing may be used as a weapon with the thrown property, dealing 1d6 bludgeoning damage. You use Strength as the ability modifier for attack and damage rolls. A Shield of Throwing can only be used as a ranged weapon; it cannot be used as a melee weapon unless other features allow you to use shields as melee weapons.
You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon when it is thrown. It has the thrown property with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet. Immediately after the attack, the shield flies back to your hand.
Proficiency with a light hammer allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
