Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement by a Meditation in The Wings of Death's Sanctuary)

This item appears as a runic tattoo on the forearmof the user. While channeling magic through the ruin, you can use a bonus action to cause a blade blessed by the Pools of Bonica to spring into existence, or make the blade disappear. While the blade exists, this magic longsword has the finesse property. If you are proficient with shortswords or longswords, you are proficient with it.

You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon, which deals necrotic damage and slashing damage. When you hit an undead creature with it, the necrotic damage is converted to radiant and gains another 1d8.

Due to the blade being quenched in a Pool of Bonica, it's been given the ability to expell spirits risen from death. As a bonus action you can attempt to send a spirit back to the Great Colanthum. An undead creature under CR 17 must succeed a DC 16 wisdom saving throw or be expelled back to death, never to be revived again. This ability doesn't work against undead who haven't properly died, we're subjected to a curse that transformed them, or received undeath through ritual, rite, boon, or divine intervention such as a vampire or lich.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
