Instruments of the bards are unique instruments named after legendary bards. All of those however are string instruments.
An eccentric and talented crafter decided to create their own versions with horns. Adolphe's Sax was the first and perhaps only of these experiments.
Though legend persists that Adolphe made a tuba that could be ridden into battle.
You can use an action to play the instrument and cast one of its spells: Fly, Invisibility, Levitate, Protection from Evil and Good, Animal Friendship, Protection from Energy (fire only), Protection from Poison. Once the instrument has been used to cast a spell, it can’t be used to cast that spell again until the next dawn. The spells use your spell casting ability and spell save DC.
You can play the instrument while casting a spell that causes any of its targets to be charmed on a failed saving throw, thereby imposing disadvantage on the save. This effect applies only if the spell has a somatic or a material component.
A creature that attempts to play the instrument without being attuned to it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or take 2d4 psychic damage.
"When you wake up, it's a new mornin'
The sun is shinin', it's a new mornin'
You're goin', you're goin' home"
- Last words heard before the Sax's true potential was unleashed.

Posted Aug 15, 2023This is just a reskinned Doss Lute. I made in an attempt to get my dm to allow my bard to have it.
So far, this plot has quite rightly failed.
