Once per long rest, you can enter a state where you are Deeply Envious of your neighbors and covet their possessions for 1 minute. While in this state, it is easier to haggle. When attuned to this amulet you learn the Distort Value spell. For the whole minute of your Deeply Envious state, you can cast the spell Distort Value with a reduced casting time of an action without expending a spell slot a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
The amulet has 3 charges and regains its expended charges daily at dawn. You can expend 1 charge to get one of the following effects:
- When any creature you can see within 60 feet of yourself targets another creature within range with an attack or a spell, you can use your reaction to attempt to interrupt the creature in the process. You try to seize control of the attack or spell from the target by making a Charisma (Persuasion) check contested by the target's Charisma (Persuasion) or Wisdom (Insight) check (the target chooses the ability to use). If you succeed, you can then choose a different creature you can see within range (you can choose yourself) to be the target of the attack or spell. This feature doesn't apply to area effects, such as the explosion of a fireball. ●
- As a bonus action whenever you make an Investigation check you can spend one charge to roll an additional d20. You must choose to do so before the roll, and you can do so only once per turn.
Notes: Can only attuned one Amulet of Sin at the same time. For a given player, any Amulet of Sin will always have the same effect when attuned.
