Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a by a spellcaster)
An arcane battery (sometimes known as a divine or primal battery, depending on the user) can take on many forms; a brooch, statuette, orb, crystal or wand to name a few. It counts as a spellcasting focus for any spellcaster and is instilled with raw magical energy.
Once attuned, a spellcaster can cast a spell available to them by substituting a number of charges from the battery equal to the spell slot normally required to cast the spell. A caster cannot use more charges per casting than the highest level spell slot they have obtained. An arcane battery has five charges that recharge after a long rest.
