Wondrous Item, very rare (requires attunement by a creature of evil alignment. If a creature of neutral alignment attempts to attune to this item, they must make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or become cursed. )

Crafted from obsidian black as the void, the Scepter emanates a palpable aura of malevolence. Its grip is covered in unsettling, intricate depictions of creatures of the night reveling in carnage and chaos.

While attuned to and within 30 feet of the Scepter, all creatures with a good alignment have disadvantage on saving throws against fear and charm effects. Additionally, any healing spells, abilities or items used by these creatures will only restore half the normal hit points (rounded down). When such creatures attempt to remove conditions through magic, they must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw, or the attempt fails.

Once per day, the wielder of the Scepter can perform a sacrilegious ritual as an action. This ritual mimics the effect of the 'Hallow' spell, but instead of creating a holy space, it desecrates the area. This corrupted zone, spanning a 60-foot radius, persists for 24 hours. Within this area, creatures with a good alignment are considered to be in difficult terrain due to the oppressive force of evil. Celestial beings also have disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws within the corrupted zone. This feature recharges at the next dusk.

Attunement Curse. The curse has the same effects as the 'bestow curse' spell (5th-level version), with the specific effects determined by the Dungeon Master. Once cursed, the creature remains so until the curse is lifted by a 'remove curse' spell or similar magic.

"In the shadow of righteousness, the Scepter loomed, its vile aura tainting all that is sacred. As its power unfurled, the holy fell to their knees, their resolve waning under its dread influence."

Notes: creature of evil alignment. If a creature of neutral alignment attempts to attune to this item, they must make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or become cursed.
