Aerolite Shard
The Aerolite Shard is a radiant blue gem of immense power. When inserted into the gauntlet of Aetherspire (created by the Arlemerians), it bestows the wearer with the ability to manipulate arcane energies and harness the forces of wind and sky. This extraordinary gem acts as the key to unlocking the secrets of airship construction, allowing the wielder to channel its power into creating magnificent vessels that soar through the heavens.
The name "Aerolite" combines the elements of air and light, reflecting the gem's connection to the realm of wind and flight. "Shard" denotes its crystalline form, suggesting that it is a fragment of a greater source of power.
Every shard that is found and slotted in to the Gauntlet of Aetherspire allows the wielder another D100 roll to try and craft one of following airship items :
a. Hull/Structure
b. Balloons/Lift Mechanism
c. Propulsion/Engines
d. Navigation/Control System
E. Weaponry/defenses
The rolls are always 1 D100 roll per party member averaging the total divided by 2 as your "normal" built quality
Anything above your 50% mark gains bonus feats of choice and near perfect rolls (85%) can be distributed with following attributes :
- Cloaking Device
- Aetheric Shields
- Enhanced Maneuverability
- Enhanced Speed
- Advanced Scanning Equipment
- Unique Weapon Systems
Anything below the 50% mark will reduce quality of the ship item at the dungeon masters choice.
Have your players look for new shards to "refuel their gauntlets" so that they can try and roll better and have them built a better ship throughout the course of the campaign.
