Potion, common

A tanglefoot bag is a small sack filled with tar, resin, and other sticky substances. It costs 50 gp per bag

As an action, you can throw a tanglefoot bag at a 5 foot square up to 20 feet away. The bag comes apart and goo bursts out, then becoming tough and resilient upon exposure to air. A Large or smaller creature that moves into the square for the first time on its turn or starts its turn there must make a DC 15 Dexterity Saving throw or be Restrained, glued to the floor, unable to move. On a successful save, the creature is not Restrained but its movement is halved until the end of their turn.

Huge or larger creatures are unaffected by a tanglefoot bag. A tanglefoot bag does not function underwater.

A creature Restrained in this way may use their action to make a DC 15 Strength check to break free and move normally. Another creature within 5 feet of the Restrained creature may use their action to make the check in their stead. The goo can also be destroyed. It has an AC of 13, 15 hit points and is immune to bludgeoning, piercing, psychic, poison, and thunder.

If a creature Restrained in this way attempts to cast a spell, they must make a Constitution check with a DC equal to 10 + the level of the spell or be unable to cast the spell.

After 1 minute, the goo becomes brittle and fragile, cracking apart and losing its effectiveness. An application of Universal Solvent to a stuck creature dissolves the alchemical goo immediately.
