This varite-enlaced weapon is perfectly crafted for slaying spellcasters and ignores magical effects. This weapon is comprised of an amount of varite and, in turn, its attacks ignore magical effects below a certain level determined by the weapon's rarity. Using this weapon, you may also choose to attack a magical barrier or effect you can see, dispelling up to 5 cubic feet of any magical effect lower than the weapon's rarity. Four types of this weapon exist: uncommon, rare, very rare, and legendary.

The wielder of this weapon cannot cast spells by any means, and magic cannot target this weapon directly. Magical items which come in contact with this item with a rarity lower than its own lose their magical effects for 1d4 turns.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
