Armor (studded leather), unknown rarity (requires attunement by a blood hunter, Order of the Lycan. The attunement takes 1d10+4 days, and involves growing accustomed to the pain that comes with it.)
This armor was created by the first Order of the Lycan blood hunter, and is a fable among all hunter’s since. It is created with millions of tiny spikes inside of the armor, always lightly poking the skin and causing pain, but no real damage at first.

Features:

Dormant state:

Your Strength score and the maximum Strength score increase by 2 and your Wisdom decreases by 2. You also have a +2 bonus to AC and have advantage on checks against being charmed, frightened, or paralyzed.

Awakened state:

The user gains an extra 20ft of movement, and has advantage on Strength and Dexterity checks and saving throws.

Curse of the Hybrid

Each time you use your Hybrid Transformation feature, roll a d20. On a 17 or above, raise the Curse level of the armor one level up as the spikes of the armor extend and pierce farther into your flesh. Every level up, the DC for this roll decreases by 1.

Curse Level:

Your curse level starts at 0.

Level 1: On each turn where you move your full speed in your hybrid form, you take 1d4 piercing damage.

Level 2: The piercing damage increases to 1d10, and you have disadvantage on all Intelligence and Wisdom checks and saving throws, as your mind is always distracted by the pain.

Level 3: The damage increases to 1d20, and your Intelligence and Wisdom scores both decrease by 4. It also takes you 1.5 hours to finish a short rest, and 10 to finish a long rest.

Level 4: Immediately after your Curse increases to level 4, you lose control of your hybrid form. You are blind except for the ability to see shadows, and on your turn you are forced to attack the nearest creature to you. Also, when you drop to 0 hit points, you do not fall unconscious until you die outright. These effects can not be cured.

Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.

Notes: Bonus: Ability Checks, blood hunter, Order of the Lycan. The attunement takes 1d10+4 days, and involves growing accustomed to the pain that comes with it.
