The one-of-a-kind sword Whip from a dead tree of life so a tree of death
It can be used as either a rapier or a whip.
If you are proficient with whips, you can attack with it using your bonus action while in whip form.
When you attack with the whip form as a bonus action, you gain a +2 bonus to the hit roll.
This weapon allows you to make two attacks in one action or bonus action when using the whip.
Thorn projectiles that should pierce your body instead heal you for the amount of damage they would have caused.
By swinging the rapier, you can release a number of thorns in the direction of the swing, determined by rolling a d4.
When you successfully hit a target in rapier or whip form, roll a d4 or d8 respectively. That many thorns become embedded in your target. When the target moves, they take damage equal to the number of thorns embedded in them. The target can remove thorns by spending a bonus action (1d4) or an action (1d10+1). All thorns are lost after a short or long rest.
If you hit a creature with thorns besides yourself, they gain an additional 1d4 thorns.
You can unleash an outburst of thorns on a creature that has thorns embedded in them, causing the thorns to disappear and dealing double damage as the number of thorns embedded. This ability can be used once per short or long rest.
Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
