Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement by a native inhabitant of the plane this item originates from)
The Amorouth Albrecht Model 11 is a one-of-a-kind device created by German scientist Albrecht Klein during the first World War. This device utilizes the temporal attributes of Amorouth crystals to warp time-space, though Albrecht has yet to fully realize the functionality of such materials.

Found State:

As an action, you can spend a charge to activate the device to attempt to affect a creature within range. Make a ranged weapon attack with a range of 120/600 against anything below colossal size. You may use either your Dexterity modifier or your Intelligence (Arcana) modifier for the attack roll. On a hit, roll a 1d100 and the table below describes what happens to the target.

Times Table:

100 - 76: Unpredictable: Due to the unpredictable nature of the Amorouth crystals, nothing appears to happen to the target. You however, will regain one charge.
75 - 51: Age Forward: Roll a 1d100. The target ages forward in time equal to a third of your roll (rounded up) in years. If the target's new age is past three quarters of their race's average life span, they gain a -1 debuff to their STR, DEX, and CON scores.  You cannot age a target past their average lifespan.
50 - 26: Age Backward: Roll a 1d100. The target ages backward in time equal to a fifth of your roll (rounded up) in years. If the target's new age is below their race's average age of maturity, they gain a -1 debuff to their STR, INT, and WIS scores. If the target's new age is less than the equivalent of 10 human years, they must make a Constitution saving throw. The DC is the number of years they aged below (10 human years). On a failed save, they are incapacitated. On a success, their age is set to the equivalent of 10 human years. You cannot age a target below the equivalent of 5 human years.
25-11: Dilation (minor): Roll a 1d4+1. The target blips from the time stream for the total rolled in rounds before they reappear in the same location they left. If something else currently occupies that space, the target is safely moved to the nearest safe space.
10-1: Dilation (major): The target disappears from all timelines completely, only returning at the time of no times

If you roll a 1 on the attack roll using this device, the device instead targets you. Roll a 1d100 and apply the respective effect with you as the target. On a roll of 10-1, reroll as the Amorouth crystal cannot handle sending itself through time to such a degree.

Familiar State:

When rolling on the Times Table, gain the following additional buffs:

  • Unpredictable: Deal 4d8 damage to the target, as they feel the ripple of time-space impact them from all directions and all times.
  • Age Forward: When determining how many years the target ages forward, use half of your roll (rounding up) instead of the previous third. Increase the score debuff to a -2.
  • Age Backward: When determining how many years the target ages backward, use a quarter of your roll (rounding up) instead of the previous fifth. Increase the score debuff to a -2.
  • Dilation (minor): Instead of rolling 1d4+1, roll 1d6+2 to determine how far forward the target is moved in time.

Harmonic State:

As the Amorouth crystal finally settles, you understand it's functionality to an unprecedented level. Gain the following buffs:

  • While the Amorouth AM-11 is on your person, you are immune to any time related magic.
  • When using the Amorouth AM-11 on any being immune to time related magic or any being not from your current plane of existence, deal 10d12 damage to them. This does not include yourself if you roll a 1 on the attack roll.
  • When rolling on the Times Table:
    • Unpredictable: Instead of 4d8, deal 4d12 on a hit. The target receives a random condition lasting 1d4 rounds. This condition can be blinded, charmed, deafened, frightened, or poisoned. Gain 2 charges instead of one when this effect activates.
    • Age Forward: Remove the previous limit on aging forward. If the target's new age is past their race's average life span, they must roll a Constitution saving throw. The DC is the number of years they aged above their race's average life span. On a failed save, the target dies of old age. A spell used to resurrect the target will restore the target to its original age.
    • Age Backward: Remove the previous limit on aging backward. If the target's new age is less than 0, they must make a Constitution saving throw. The DC is a third of the number of years they aged below 0, rounding up. On a failed save, they de-age out of existence, only being able to be brought back by a Wish spell or equivalent magic. Magic used in this way will restore the target to its original age.
    • Dilation (minor): When the target reappears, choose a point you can see within 45ft of the target's original location. They reappear in that location instead.
    • Dilation (major): If this effect is rolled during the time of no times, the original effect does not take effect. Instead, the target receives a random condition for 1d8 rounds. This condition can be incapacitated, paralyzed, petrified, stunned, or unconscious. If the target is immune to the chosen effect, they instead receive a point of exhaustion, ignoring any immunity to exhaustion.

Any lasting effects wear off after 1 week or by magic with an effect similar to Greater Restoration or greater. Effects do not stack on one another, but if two were to be active on a target at the same time, you can choose which one to apply. Beings immune to time magic or beings originating from outside this plane of existence are immune to all effects of this device.

You have a number of charges equal to your Intelligence modifier. The maximum count of charges is updated on any rest. Regain all expended charges of this device on a long rest and regain 1d4 expended charges on a short rest.
