Introduced into Sharn by Daask, dragon’s blood is a potent and highly addictive stimulant. In addition to inducing euphoria it also fills the mind of its user with arrogance and delusions of grandeur, similar to the stories of dragons and their hordes, which is how it earned its name. This is the pure unaltered form of Dragon's Blood, as such the effects are as potent as possible, positive and negative. Upon consuming this drug, a spellcaster can choose expended spell slots to recover. The spell slots can have a combined level that is equal to or less than your spellcasting class level (rounded up), and none of the slots can be 6th level or higher. A creature without the ability to cast spells may choose one spell with a level equal to or less than their proficiency bonus and cast it, constitution is the spell casting modifier for the chosen spell. After these spells have been chosen, roll on the wild magic surge table to determine what arcane anomaly is triggered. This drug lasts for 10 minutes after which, whenever the creature makes a skill check, saving throw, attack roll, or damage roll in the next 8 hours they must roll a d6 and subtract that number from the roll. This affect cannot be cured by anything short of a greater restoration or another suitable healing spell of 5th level or higher.
After 8 hours pass, the creature must make a constitution saving throw (DC 25), on a success no other effect happens, on a failure the creature becomes addicted to Dragon's Blood and its effects; instead of wearing off, the after effects of Dragon's Blood remain, this persists until the character ingests more Dragon's Blood. While addicted to Dragon's Blood there are no negative effects after the 30 minutes of effect time meaning that the creature can function as normal until 8 hours pass and the effects of the drug wear off instead whenever the creature makes a skill check, saving throw, attack roll, or damage roll in the next 8 hours they must roll a d8 and subtract that number from the roll. There is no natural way to recover from Dragon's Blood addiction, and the only known treatment is an expensive week long stay at a Jurasco House of Healing with facilities to perform this treatment. This treatment costs 1500gp and lasts for seven days.
Note: this is not something that someone should want to take as such the negatives wildly outweigh the positives but like all drugs people know the risks and take them anyway.
