Weapon (longbow), very rare (requires attunement by a by a Drow)

History: Veldrin, the feared Drow warrior, rode fearlessly into battle atop his beloved drider mount, Zex'id. Inseparable, they were a formidable force. However, tragedy hit when Zex'id fell in a fateful confrontation. Consumed by grief and unwilling to face the battlefield without his trusted companion, Veldrin sought solace in the artificer's workshop of the enigmatic master, Azariah. Azariah, utilizing the remnants of Zex'id, crafted the Arachnid's Lament—a longbow that blended beauty and darkness.

Appearance: The Arachnid's Lament is a somber masterpiece. Its sleek ebony frame, fashioned from the sturdy chitin of Zex'id's exoskeleton, gleams with a haunting luster. Sinuous limbs, crafted from the drider's carapace, gracefully extend, bearing marks of battles fought and victories won. Strands of shimmering spider silk, delicately woven through the bowstring, resonate with the whispered secrets of the spider's spinning dance, capable of imparting ethereal enchantments to an arrow's flight.

Properties: The longbow has 7 charges and regains 1d6 + 2 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the longbow is destroyed in an otherwise harmless burst of arcane energy.

Spider's Precision . Attacks with this longbow are at +1 to hit and damage. Once per turn, when you make a ranged attack roll with this longbow, you can choose to expend 1 charge to gain advantage on the attack roll. Can be used alone, or in conjunction with Spider's Entanglement for 2 charges.

Spider's Entanglement. Once per turn, when you make a ranged attack roll with this longbow, you can choose to expend 1 charge to fire an arrow that explodes upon impact, releasing a sticky web. The target must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw on a hit (a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw on a miss) or it becomes restrained for 1 minute. Any creature can use its action to make a DC 16 Strength check, freeing itself or another creature within its reach from the webbing.  Restrained creatures suffer 1d4 poison damage at the start of their turn. Can be used alone, or in conjunction with Spider's Precision for 2 charges.

Spider's Agility. While attuned to the Arachnid's Sting, you gain a +3 bonus to initiative and also a +3 bonus to passive perception vs surprise.

Spider's Hunger. While Arachnid's Retribution is not sentient, the weapon retains the hunger of the beast from which it was created. The owner of this weapon can enhance their bond with the item by 'feeding' it relevant material and accomplishments. Arachnid's Retribution is the evolution Arachnid's Lament. There are rumors of the possibility of even further evolutions, but the details are unknown. Attunement to a new owner destroys this built-up bond and resets the weapon to the base Arachnid's Lament level.
