Alceon

A long, golden rod ending in gemstones on either end, an Alceon is engraved with runes and dotted with small gemstones.

Ancient Key Piece. An Alceon is forged as a blank slate, with no runes engraved, ready for its wielder to give it a purpose. During a long rest, you can designate a specific door or entryway that can be locked or barred. At the end of this long rest, the Alceon will have adopted this door as its quarry, and will magically carve the runes into its surface. 

Changing these runes requires a casting of dispel magic or other such spells, and to identify unknown runes engraved into the Alceon requires a DC 20 Intelligence check.
