A dagger with an obscure appearance, having a midnight black grip, a curved hilt with sharp edges, and the blade is almost spear-like with its shape, but midnight black with regular iron accents for coloring. Those struck by this dagger seem to lose some of their life force.
1. Upon hitting an enemy roll a d50 (2d20 + d10 or a d50 if in ownership), whatever the number rolled, turn that number into a percentage and take that percentage out of the opponent's max health. This effect can occur twice upon the first 2 hits of a target per target and lasts 3-5 turn cycles (depending on the DM), and after both uses of the effect are worn the next hit will be calculated as a normal dagger. if 2 50s are rolled in a row with this effect, the target loses 100% of their health resulting in death.
2. Upon hitting an enemy roll a d100, whatever the number rolled, turn that number into a percentage, and take that percentage out of the opponent's max health. This effect can occur once per target and lasts 3-5 turn cycles (depending on the DM) and after the use of the effect the next hit will be calculated as a normal dagger. if a 100 is rolled with this effect, the target loses 100% of their health resulting in death.
It is the DMs decision whether to use the "nerfed" version (1) which is a bit more balanced or the original version (2).

Posted Jun 27, 2023This dagger was inspired by Mehrune's Razor the Daedric artifact from Skyrim Elder Scrolls 5, and the mechanic of the Black Assassins from Elden Ring in the aspect of getting rid of some of the enemy's max health. I thought it would be a fun idea, and a really strong weapon for a rogue in a party to use.
