Aegis of Echoes

The Aegis of Echoes is a spectacular shield that is as much a work of art as it is a piece of protection. The round shield, about 2.5 feet in diameter, is made of a mystical metal known as ethereal silver. This otherworldly metal shimmers with a soft, blue-silver light and shifts slightly in hue as one's perspective changes, giving it an almost hypnotic appearance.

Engraved intricately onto the front of the shield is a grand scene depicting the Dawn of the Gods in D&D lore. Each of the major deities is represented in such vivid detail that they seem to come alive under the ethereal glow.

The Aegis of Echoes is not just aesthetically remarkable, but its enchantment is also quite powerful. It provides a +2 bonus to AC, just like a normal shield. However, its special feature is that once per day, the wielder can activate it to echo the last spell that was cast on them within the last round, essentially reflecting it back at the caster, hence the name 'Aegis of Echoes'.

The Aegis is held by a sturdy leather strap that adjusts to the size of the wielder's arm. It seems to be comfortable for all races and sizes, and despite its grandeur, it is incredibly light.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
