This aged magic journal is filled with blank pages. Any attempt to write upon the pages fails, the text erasing itself within mere moments.

While holding the journal, you can use an action to write a creature's name on the front of the journal, which quickly disappears. If the target is incapacitated and within 5 feet of you, you instantly cast the new sift memory spell (spell save DC 20), using the journal as the material component. The journal can't be used in this way again until the next dawn.
