Arcane Shield Gauntlet

This item has 2 states : inactive and active. It can be activated by using a bonus action (whenever the user wants) or a reaction (only during combat)

While inactive, this item ressembles an apparently mundane but ornate metallic gauntlet yet closer inspection reveals it is inscribed with discrete abjuration runes : an Arcana check DC 15 is necessary to identify the nature of the runes after a successful perception / investigation check (at the DM's discretion).
While active, the gauntlet generates several interconnected forcefields from a round piece above the wrist, deploying the arcane shield. The AC bonus is granted to the wearer only if the arcane shield is activated.

If inactive when an attack is made against the wearer, the arcane shield can be ativated and deployed by spending a reaction.

While holding this arcane shield (once it has been activated), you have a +1 bonus to AC in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC.

The arcane shield can stay active for 10 min. Once this time has past, a short rest is necessary to recharge the arcane energy of the shield.

Additionnaly, once per long rest and while being activated, the shield gauntlet allows you to spend a reaction to cast the Shield spell without expending a spell slot.

Because the shielding is magical by nature, the gauntlet can be temporarely neutralized by :
- an anti-magic field (no save / roll required) as long as the wearer remains inside the field's area of effect
- a Dispel magic spell (requires a DC 18 spell ability roll if the spell, if the spell is cast at a higher level, the DC lowers by 3 for each level above 3) but the shield will still be able to recharge et be reactivated after a short rest

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
