While holding it, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to expend 1 charge to regain 1d4 hit points, plus additional hit points equal to the creature's challenge rating (minimum 1 additional hit point). The wand regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn.
