Weapon (longsword), varies

This is a regular longsword with regular longsword properties and the versatile property. What makes it special is the Arcane Shot feature. The Arcane Shot is created from what I like to call an Arcane Core (core made out of arcane energy of a chosen type: fire, lightning, necrotic, radiant, cold, force, etc). They are created by any person who has access to magic in some way, even if only level 1. By compressing the energy from spells, the user is able to form these runic balls of magical energy that can be shot out as a ranged projectile and upon hit release a magical effect based on the source of magic (fire, lightning, necrotic, radiant, cold, force, etc). The higher the spell level the more cores can be created - 10 cores for cantrip, 15 for 1st level and doubling after that until 9th level spells or spells of lower level upcast to 9th level. An infinite number of cores can be made and maintained as once created they are stable and easy to keep. They are not much larger than a large marble. The cores can be formed under any conditions but will be formed faster if the user is in conditions fitting the magic type (bonus action)  (like near lava/magma, heat sources for fire, storms for lighting, cold weather for cold, etc). The cores are created in the same time frame as a spell is cast (action usually). The Arcane Cores can be kept in any place on or off the user and be used as bombs by themselves when thrown with enough force (at the players discretion).

The Cores do 3d8 or 2d12 damage of the associated magic type to a target and may have special effects based on the magic used (cold can freeze a creature or object to some minor extent, like an icy blast covering a chest-plate or encasing a weapon; lightning shocking the creature and stunning them until the user's next turn; fire will burn and do an additional d6 upon a failed dex save (these are just hypotheticals and can be customized as seen fit)

A player can load up to 15 cores into the sword and can fire one core per sword swing (if the sword is going to hit a creature twice, two cores can be fired) from each and any sword (if two swords, can fire a core from each as part of their melee attack or separately as a ranged attack). If the attack is made within melee ranged, the player can decide whether to use the melee attack to hit dice roll, or roll again for the core shot using the same modifiers as a melee attack (with proficiency). If the main melee attack misses, the player can still fire a core and try to hit a creature. The core shot never has disadvantage depending on range and can be used within self/touch range up to 120 ft away (above 5 feet use ranged attack or ranged spell attack, whichever is higher).

Cores can be quickly reloaded into the sword with a single bonus action being able to replace all 15 cores due to the quickload feature (player can also load manually after firing a single or multiple cores and can replace cores easily with 5 being easily held in a hand.

Cores of different magic types can be loaded into the sword.

The cores do not misfire under any circumstances.

All mechanisms of the sword do not suffer damage from using the sword, but a player can repair any and all components within 1-8 hours.

The sword is easily maintained and does not suffer any damage if other spells are used with it (booming blade, Green-flame Blade, etc)

The sword can look however the player wants and can be customized. The sword can also be upgraded to have a better blade (become plus 1, 2 or 3).

The sword falls under regular longsword proficiency but does not generally have finesse properties.

The sword does have versatile properties

The sword can be held and used with one hand or two as long as the strength score is above 5.

The sword can be thrown.

The sword itself follows regular longsword damage and can do 1d8 slashing damage (versatile makes it 1d10  slashing damage (two handed))

Since this is a custom sword, the sword can be made out of any material the player wants/clears with the DM.

A total damage of 4d8 or 1d8 + 2d12 can be done by the sword alone but as mentioned earlier, the sword can be used with other cantrips and spells such as Booming blade, Green-Flame blade, etc.

The sword could also be used as a pact weapon.

The sword can be used by magic and non-magic characters or creatures, but the Arcane Cores can only be created with magic of some type.

The Arcane Shot feature could also be converted into a chamber for ammunition from pistols and rifles, cannot be both an Arcance Core feature and pistol-like ammunition chamber.

The Arcane Cores can be used to power the sword and can make the sword gain the property of the chosen core (could have lighting form and wreath around the blade adding an extra 3d8 or 2d12 lightning damage and causing a stun effect (effect is just for example and can be customized based on player wishes and DM discretion), could have fire form around the sword and have an extra 3d8 or 2d12 fire damage be added to the sword) - the cores can power the sword in such a way for 1d4 rounds of combat.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
