Alfonzo's Stinky Blanket

Alfonzo's unwashed, well loved blanket. It has accumulated so much... love, that it loves its wearer back and acts to protect them and their allies of its own accord.

This blanket contains 3 charges, all of which are regained after a long rest. While wearing it, you know the Shield spell and may choose to expend one charge to cast it. You can also cast it using spell slots you have of the appropriate level. Additionally, as a reaction, when a creature you can see attacks a target other than you that is within 5 feet of you, you may expend a charge to impose disadvantage on the attack roll.

The blanket is disgusting to people around you. While wearing it, you have disadvantage on Persuasion checks.

If the blanket is submerged in clean water, it immediately loses all charges and cannot regain charges until it has been soiled again.
