While wearing this armor, you gain a +1 bonus to AC, and you can understand and speak Undercommon and have Tremorsense up to 20 ft.. In addition, the armor's clawed gauntlets turn unarmed strikes with your hands into magic weapons that deal slashing damage, with a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls and a damage die of 1d8. This armor also produces four spectral spider limbs from the back of the person wearing it. When taking a bonus action the armor will grant the following options:
- Spider Strike. The four spectral spider arms can each make an attack. These are also unarmed strikes with a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls and a damage die of 1d4 piercing damage upon each successful hit.
- Spider Climb. The four spectral spider arms allows the ability to move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings, while leaving its hands free. The target also gains a climbing speed equal to its walking speed. If moving upon a wall or ceiling, strikes with the additional arms is nullified. This effect lasts for 10 minutes.
- Web. The wearer can cast the Web spell once a day. They can also enter into the area without it being considered difficult terrain.
- Poison Spray. This bonus action can be taken only by female characters who don the armor. You extend your hand toward a creature you can see within a 10 ft range and project a puff of noxious gas from your palm. The creature must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or take 1d10 poison damage.
Curse. Once you don this cursed armor, after the 1st day you can't doff it unless you are targeted by the remove curse spell or similar magic. After 3 days, your alignment will turn from good to evil unless neutral or already evil, the remove curse or similar magic will reverse this as well. After 6 days if the character is male it will become female, and remain that way even if the curse is removed. The curse cannot be permanently removed from the armor, only reset each time the spell targets it.
Half plate consists of shaped metal plates that cover most of the wearer's body. It does not include leg protection beyond simple greaves that are attached with leather straps.

Posted Dec 2, 2022What would happen if a warforged had this? Would they still turn from a man to women?

Posted Dec 4, 2022Great question! I wouldn't want to lock in the outcome. I would honestly leave that up to If you or your DM to decide how/if the armor changes anything.
I personally would have it change gender or gain gender depending how the character identifies. Just a bit of flavor but not anything that would alter statistics. Just a fun shake-up within' the game.
Up to you and your game group when it is all said and done. I created this years ago and a lot has changed as far as available races/species. In the true nature of D&D, do what you feel is the most fun or will not cause any issues. Appreciate you checking on this!
