This finely crafted longbow features an unusual slot in the center of the body through which arrows must pass when nocked and fired. Careful study of this slot reveals that it is suffused with powerful duplication magic.
When you take the Attack action with this longbow while attuned to it, you can expend one arrow, which the longbow consumes, to create a volley of magically duplicated arrows in a line 5 feet wide and 80 feet long. Creatures in range must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 15), taking 10d8 magical piercing damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one.
All duplicate arrows created by the longbow vanish after hitting their targets. If you choose to use this special feature of the longbow during your Attack action, you cannot make any other attacks that you would otherwise make as part of that action. Once this special feature of the longbow is used, it cannot be used again until the next dawn.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
Notes: creature with the Archery fighting style or a ranger, Damage, Ammunition, Heavy, Range, Two-Handed, Slow
