This item looks like a silver signet ring with the main obvious difference that the design on top is not recessed but protruded. Each ring is unique to the artisan.
Once per day on a verbal command the ring heats up to a hot red state for a couple of seconds, shedding dim light for 10ft, but the wielder is immune to it's heat, it can then be used to burn the Artisan's mark into whatever he has created, marking it as his creation. However it will not ignite said item on fire.
The mark is a magical burn effect, can burn into any known material and can only be removed by magical means, or destruction of the item.
If needed, it can be used as an unarmed strike in combat, causing 1d4+1 Fire damage.
Once an Artisan has created a true masterpiece while wearing the ring, the ring takes on a gold color, does 1d10+1 Fire damage, can ignite items on command and will provide Resistance to fire.
Notes: Designing a personal mark and wearing it while crafting an nice item common to your trade will create the design on the ring and be ready for use from then on.
