This Amulet has been forged in the abyssal planes by a City Corruptor (Evanissu) to exert control over his Shadow Demon minions. It is powered by enslaved Shadow Demons captured within the onyx black crystal in the center of the amulet. Due to the forceful nature of the magic the Shadow demons contained inside the amulet resist its control.
While wearing this amulet, you have advantage on attack rolls against Shadow Demons, and they have disadvantage on attack rolls against you.
The amulet has 5 charges. It regains all charges daily at dusk.
You can expend charges to cast the following spells:
Shadow Step. 1 charge. You must succeed a DC 15 WIS save, on a success you pick a shadow you can see, step into your own shadow and are teleported to the targeted shadow. On a failed save the shadow demons resist your control causing you to teleport to a random shadow you can see chosen by the Shadow Demons (DM or dice roll)
Shadow Strike. 2 charges. You must succeed a DC 15 WIS save, on a success you pick a target you can see (provided there is a shadow within 5 feet of the target) and a shadowy claw emerges from the shadow to strike the target dealing 3d10 + WIS psychic damage. On a failed save the demons resist your command with a demonic scream causing 3d6 psychic damage to you and all creatures within 10 feet of you.
Shadowy Presence. 3 Charges. The Shadow Demons revel in the opportunity to cause fear and do not resist this command. You project a shadowy image of a creature’s worst fears. Each creature in a 30-foot cone must succeed on a Wisdom 15 saving throw or drop whatever it is holding and become frightened for 1 minute.
While frightened by this spell, a creature must take the Dash action and move away from you by the safest available route on each of its turns, unless there is nowhere to move. If the creature ends its turn in a location where it doesn’t have line of sight to you, the creature can make a Wisdom saving throw. On a successful save, the spell ends for that creature.
