This small silver charm, pulsing with jasmine light, is often worn by trainee wizards to avoid the backlash of spells going wrong.
When you fail a concentration check whilst this charm is in your belongings, you must reroll the check. When the apprentices charm is used roll a d6, on a 1-3 the charm is destroyed.
