Weapon (spear), rare (requires attunement)

This sleek, segmented spear was created by the Epsilon Corporation to be used by the security guards of those with deep pockets. It is made of a titanium alloy, and its internal mechanisms whirr and click when in action. This model also no longer explodes when pointed straight upwards.

When you attune to this spear, it deconstructs and shifts into a bracer molded to your weapon arm. As a bonus action on each of your turns, you can shift the spear’s shape back to its weapon form if you’re not holding anything in your weapon arm, or back into its bracer form. If you die while the spear is in bracer form, it shifts into its spear form.

While the spear is in its bracer form, you have a +1 bonus to your AC.

While the spear is in its weapon form, you can spend your action if you’re holding the spear for its head to mechanically open and unfold, revealing an electric discharging device. When you take this action, a creature of your choice within 30 feet of you must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 4d8 lightning damage and is incapacitated until the end of their next turn. On a successful save, the target takes half damage and is not incapacitated. Once you use this trait, you can’t do so again for 1 hour.

Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
