The Blades of Chaos are legendary weapons crafted by the God of War and made with chains in order to be flailed about. The weapons magically burn on command. The blades have a range of 20ft when flailed and 40 feet when thrown as a ranged weapon. When the blades hit a target after being thrown as a ranged weapon will dig themselves into the flesh of the target unless they are resisted or hit a hard area that refuses melting.

When flailed the blades sear and burn through anything they hit, including the users surroundings. The Blades of Chaos deal 1d12 fire damage when flailed at 11 feet and up and 1d8 fire damage when flailed beneath 10 feet. When thrown as a ranged weapon they deal 1d8 fire damage at 20 feet and below and 1d12 fire damage at 21 feet above. When attacking with the blades as a melee weapon they deal 1d8 fire damage when at max melee distance and 1d12 fire damage when within 3 feet of the user.

The blades have almost unlimited possibilities for attacks and can be used for almost anything from sending a fiery explosion down the chain of the blades to explode a enemy that had been impaled by them, to flailing the blades into each other to create a cone of fire in front of the user, or just restraining an enemy with the chains to set your party member up for a fatality. The blades are meant to be used creatively and there is really an infinite amount of things they can be used for.

The blades can melt through anything that is not made of fire or magma or isn't heavily enchanted with fire protection.(Weakly enchanted/Mass produced fire proof armor metals can still be melted by the blades. Only custom made and skillfully crafted enchantments cannot be melted by the blades.

The blades are very powerful as they were forged by a god but also look very different than any other blade and most blacksmiths will be very intrigued by them. Unfortunately the blades have a habit of bringing extreme misfortune to the user and often lead to the death of close friends and family, sometimes by the very god the user made a deal with to obtain them. The Blades of Chaos will usually always curse the user and lead to them on a path of revenge and hatred.
