Astral Shard Amulet

The Astral Shard Amulet is an exquisitely crafted amulet featuring a central, translucent gemstone that shimmers with an ethereal, multicolored light. The gemstone is encased in a delicate silver or mithral setting, intricately carved with celestial patterns that seem to shift and dance like stars in the night sky.

When worn, the Astral Shard Amulet grants its bearer a connection to the astral plane, imbuing them with unique abilities related to the mysteries of the cosmos.

1. Astral Step: As an action, the bearer can expend a charge from the amulet to cast the "Misty Step" spell without expending a spell slot. The amulet has a maximum of 3 charges, and it regains expended charges daily at dawn.

2. Astral Resilience: The bearer gains resistance to force damage and advantage on saving throws against spells and effects that would forcibly move or banish them to another plane.

3. Guiding Stars: While attuned to the Astral Shard Amulet, the bearer has advantage on Intelligence (Arcana) checks to decipher celestial maps, navigate the stars, or understand the alignment of planes.

4. Astral Insight: Once per long rest, the bearer can meditate while touching the amulet to gain a brief glimpse into the cosmic mysteries. They can ask the DM one question related to the past, present, or potential future, and the DM provides a cryptic or symbolic answer that might require interpretation.

Cursed Item

However, the Astral Shard Amulet comes with a hidden curse. The bearer becomes increasingly fascinated by the astral plane and celestial mysteries. They might find themselves spending hours staring into the night sky, losing track of time and their surroundings.
