Armor (plate), legendary (requires attunement by a Paladin)

The armor of the legendary crusader Balderich von Adler, still thrumming with holy strength

You have a +3 bonus to AC while wearing this armor. While wearing this armor, if your strength score is below 20, then it becomes 20, and you gain Darkvision to a range of 60 feet.

As an action, you can bring up the armor's barrier shield. It is a 25 foot wide, ten foot tall rectangle of force centered on yourself. It has an AC 10 and 200 HP. It will stop all ranged attacks from hostile creatures in their tracks, but any area of effect spells, for example Fireball, while it will stop once it hits the shield, the effect itself will bypass the barrier. It also does not stop anyone from walking through it. The shield does not block line of sight for the effects that require it, like Hideous Laughter for instance. Once it reaches 0 HP, it breaks and is inert until the end of your next turn, after which it regains 2d20 HP at the end of each of your turns. This health gain is halted once the barrier is brought up again, and resumes when not in use. While not in combat, it fully regains all HP after thirty seconds. This barrier shield does not count as a shield for features that require one. You can dismiss the barrier shield as a free action, and you cannot attack as long as the barrier is up.

When you take the dash action, you may charge forward, grabbing the first enemy you run into and forcing them to make a contested grapple check. If you win, you drag them forward for the rest of your movement, if you lose, you stop where you are, dealing 2d10 bludgeoning damage to whoever you run into. If you successfully grapple your target, you can (with an athletics check DC18) steer them into the nearest vertical surface, such as a wall or a tree, dealing 5d10 damage to both the surface and the target. If the surface's HP reaches 0 this way, you break through the surface and continue on, repeating both the check and damage until your speed reaches 0.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.

Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Sense: Darkvision, Set: Strength Score, Paladin, Combat, Warding, Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage
