If while wearing this shield you take damage from a spell you can use your reaction to take only half the triggering damage. If the spell caster is within 60ft of you you can force the caster to make a DC 15 Dex Saving throw. On a failure the target takes the other half of the damage.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
