Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a druid, barbarian, paladin, fighter, sorcerer, warlock, or wizard)

In ancient times the Druids of Taladara learned the secret of tatooing protective wards on their people, giving them a magical armour. However this armour is only effective if left open for the world to see the blue/green marking of swirls, geometric paterns, knotwork and beast designs that cover the body. As a result those gifted with these will only wear the minimum clothing in battle, a kilt, lion cloth, some small modesty protection while some go entirely sky clad. Being unencumbered by armour means the individual can move more freely and the ancient ones understood the challenges of harsh winters and included wards to protect against the cold as well.

The tatoos are permanent and take a specially trained druid a 2 day ritual to apply along with a further week for the tatoos to heal.

  • If you aren't wearing armor, your base Armor Class is 15 + your Dexterity modifier.
  • You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
  • Your spell save DC and spell attack bonus each increase by 2.
  • You have advantage on Dexterity checks
  • You have magical resistance to cold

To maintain the protection the tatoos provide the individual must ensure their skin is kept as clean as possible and any major scars that damage the design must be corrected by a specially trained druid.

Notes: Set: Unarmored Armor Class, Advantage: Saving Throws, Bonus: Spell Attacks, Bonus: Spell Save DC, Resistance: Cold, Advantage: Dexterity Ability Checks, druid, barbarian, paladin, fighter, sorcerer, warlock, or wizard, Buff, Warding, Outerwear
