While holding this charm, you can use an action to summon an astral beast companion. The summoned companion is a living manifestation of the night sky, and takes the form of a Dire Wolf with a fly speed equal to its walking speed. Your companion remains until you use an action to unsummon them or they are reduced to 0 hit points.
Your companion serves you as a mount, both in combat and out, and you have an instinctive bond with it that allows you to fight as a seamless unit. While mounted on your companion, you can make any spell you cast that targets only you also target your steed.
When the companion drops to 0 hit points, it disappears, leaving behind no physical form. You can also dismiss your companion at any time as an action, causing it to disappear. In either case, using this ability again summons the same companion, restored to its hit point maximum.
Once you have used this ability in this way, you cannot use it again until stars appear in the sky again.
