A great king was awaiting his first born and in their eager they commissioned a blade that would protect the coming heir throughout their whole life. Whatever perils they might encounter. Before the blade, Age, could fulfill its purpose it was announced that the heir was, sadly, stillborn. The king mourned and in his sadness and anger he ordered the blade to be removed from their sight since it reminded them of the heir they lost.
Since the blade was crafted with the kings lineage in mind it will never gain its full potential being wielded by someone not of their blood. Some magic does still reside in the blade and it longs for the opportunity to grow with it’s wielder and fulfill its purpose of protection.
