Armor (shield), legendary (requires attunement by a Pray to Aegis in Rath Turlan for 1 hour)
Passive Effects:
- Unparalleled Protection: Aegis' Shield of Justice offers unparalleled protection, shielding the wielder from harm. The wielder gains a +3 bonus to their Armor Class (AC) while wielding the shield.
- Resilience: The shield bolsters the user's resilience, granting advantage on saving throws against evil magic. The wielder gains advantage on saving throws against spells and effects originating from evil-aligned sources.
Charges (3 charges per dusk):
- Reflective Ward: Aegis' Shield of Justice has the ability to reflect malevolent attacks back at their source, turning the enemy's aggression against them. The wielder can cast the Shield spell using one of the charges, causing incoming attacks to bounce harmlessly off the shield.
- Sunbeam: The shield harnesses the power of the sun, allowing the wielder to cast Sunbeam as an action using one of the charges. The wielder releases a scintillating beam of sunlight in a 60-foot line, which engulfs creatures in its path. Each creature in the line must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 17) or take 6d8 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. The beam also ignites flammable objects in its path.
Once per Long Rest:
Judgment's Retribution:Once per long rest, the wielder can invoke the shield's Judgment's Retribution, channeling righteous power into a mighty smite. For the next minute, all of the wielder's melee weapon attacks deal an additional 2d8 radiant damage against evil-aligned creatures and fiends.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
