Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement)

This sword has 4 charges, and gains a charge when you score a critical hit with it against an enemy, or if you spend a bonus action to pump a 1st level spell slot into the sword.

You may expend between 1-4 charges to cause the sword to crackle with lightning, the next strike you take with it fires out in a 15 foot cube in front of you, stopping once it hits a creature in each of the 5ft columns.

Any creature hit by this wave must make a DC12 Dexterity saving throw, or take 1d8 lightning damage per charge (for a max of 4d8 lightning damage).

If one charge or more is in the sword for over one minute without being used, the lightning arcs onto the wielder, dealing 2d8 lightning damage per charge on the blade.

The sword loses all charges when it is sheathed.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
