Forged from crystalized mana and set in a frame of enchanted gold, this amulet is imbued with the essence of the arcane. It is said to be the final legacy of the Order of the Magi, a once-mighty coalition of mages who fought valiantly against the dark forces that sought to engulf the world. As the last of their number fell, they imbued this amulet with their collective wisdom and power, a final act of defiance against the darkness they could not defeat.
Properties
While attuned to and wearing this amulet, you gain a +2 bonus to Arcana checks, up to a maximum bonus of +4.
Spark of Inspiration
When you find yourself and your allies outnumbered by hostile creatures (the number of hostile creatures exceeds the size of your party), the amulet activates its Spark of Inspiration. Every member of your party gains one Spark of Inspiration point, which functions similarly to Bardic Inspiration.
A creature can use its Spark of Inspiration to roll an extra 1d6 and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw it makes. The creature can wait until after it rolls the d20 before deciding to use the Spark of Inspiration, but must decide before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails.
A Spark of Inspiration lasts for 10 minutes or until used.
Once activated, the amulet cannot grant another Spark of Inspiration until the next dawn.
Activation and Attunement
The amulet requires attunement, which is completed by meditating with it during a short or long rest.
After attunement is complete, the wearer feels a subtle but empowering connection to the ancient Order of the Magi, as if drawing upon an inexhaustible well of arcane wisdom.
