Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement)

While wearing this roughly-smelted, rune-inscribed brass bracer, you are attuned to the power of the Bleeding One, the fallen Ardent God of Hatred. Your melee, ranged, and spell attack rolls crit on an 18, 19, or 20. In addition, when you hit a creature with an attack, you can force it to make a Constitution saving throw (DC16) or take the amount of damage you dealt to it again at the start of its next turn, as the power of the Bleeding One ruptures its internal organs. You may use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all uses on a long rest.

If you manage to overcome the curse of the Bleeding One and restore Werkald to his true state, the bracer gains additional benefits. As a reaction when you would be hit with a melee attack, you can choose to expend charges from the bracer to temporarily transmute it into a burning brass shield. You gain +3 to your AC until the start of your next turn, and for each charge spent, the creature that hit you takes 1d8 fire damage. The bracer has six charges and regains 1d4+2 charges when you complete a long rest. If you are hit by a ranged attack, you can still expend a charge to shield yourself, but the creature that hit you is not damaged.

The bracer also grants you minor control over all Illified of the Bleeding One. You can roll Constitution checks to sense these Illified beings, force them in a certain direction, or will them to stand down from a fight. The difficulty of such checks remains at the discretion of the DM. (this also doesn't count anymore)

Each time you roll a critical hit while wearing this bracer, you take 1d4 of damage to your Wisdom score that can only be healed by the spell Greater Restoration (or Wish). If your Wisdom drops to zero because of this damage, your body is consumed with the Bleeding One's rage and you fly into a monstrous state where you attack anyone and everyone within sight. All of your attack rolls, saving throws, and Strength checks are at advantage in this state, and you have resistance to all damage. This unholy rage lasts until you are knocked unconscious. If you stabilize or are healed, your Wisdom score returns to normal, but you suffer three levels of Exhaustion (all rolls are at disadvantage and your speed is halved). These levels of Exhaustion may be cured in all the usual manners. (this doesn't count anymore)
