Crafted by a Bavarian Witch Hunter long, long, long ago, it fell into the possession of a vampire, as he fed on the Witch Hunter. As he neared death, he begged the vampire to take the hat, but warned that the hat was Cursed. Not believing in the curse, the vampire took the hat, and the curse is suspected to have led to the Great Potato Famine and a horse attacking the vampire and trying to mate with him.
The vampire took the hat to a Necromancer to see if the hat was really cursed, and after sprinkling a little powder on it, the hat started screaming and writhing about, confirming the curse.

Any creature that wears this hat is consumed with Bad Luck, and all rolls for Ability Checks are rolled with Disadvantage.
