Weapon (rapier), artifact (requires attunement by a man named Watson who is forever attuned to Voy, they have their souls intertwined.)

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Party Trick! In combat you may use one charge to make a ranged attack with Voy, this attack does not benefit from Insightful Fighting. After throwing Voy you may recall him as a bonus action.

Riposte. You may use a charge and reaction after being attacked, if the attack is with a sword or other bladed weapon you may roll a d6 to add to your AC. If the attack misses you may follow up with an opportunity attack.

Mana Drain. Whenever you hit an enemy with an attack you may expend one charge to deal an extra d4 of force damage, in addition the enemy cannot cast spells next turn. The enemy rolls a Wisdom saving throw with a dc of 13, if failed then if the enemy can cast spells, then Watson may gain access to a random one of their spells.

Spirit of Ole’, Awaken. On your turn as a action you may use 4 charges to draw directly from the mana within the blade, temporarily becoming one with Voy. This state lasts for one minute, and you gain the following:

  • Whenever you attack an enemy you automatically benefit from Insightful Fighting, with disregard to their contesting roll.
  • If you attack an enemy in your turn you may heal 3d6 as a bonus action.
  • Weapon attacks with bladed weapons have disadvantage against you, whenever a bladed weapon attack misses you you may use a reaction to opportunity attack.
  • You may cast Compelled Duel at will with a dc of 17
  • You cannot be Blinded in this state and cannot be subject to the curse

After the minute is over, or you end this state as a bonus action, roll a Constitution saving throw with a dc of 13. If failed then take one level of exhaustion

Curse. Voy is still cursed to this day. Being attuned to Voy extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with the sword, keeping it on your person at all times.

In addition, while the sword is on your person, you must succeed on a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw whenever you take more than 30 damage at once in combat. On a failed save, you must attack the creature that damaged you until you drop to 0 hit points or it does, or until you can’t reach the creature to make a melee attack against it. You may also activate this at anytime if you decide to use a charge.

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
