A spell crystal bears the sigils written in a mystical cipher. You can engrave a spell onto the crystal by expending a spell slot that is three levels above the spell being engraved and applying precious arcane materials worth the respective values for each spell level. Once engraved, the spell can be casted without providing any material components.
Creatures with below 8 intelligence or 8 wisdom can not use a spell crystal.
Casting the spell by concentrating on the crystal requires the spell’s normal casting time. Once the spell is cast, the crystal shatters to dust. If the casting is interrupted, the crystal is cracked and requires half the cost to repair and become usable again.
