By itself, the Amenonuhoko is a +3 Spear. Creatures attuned to the spear gain proficiency with spears if they did not have that proficiency already.
While socketed with the following gems, the spear also gains the following abilities:
- Green Gem of Chi: You can cast Plant Growth 2/day, and Stone Shape 1/day.
- Blue Gem of Sui: You can cast the spells Create or Destroy Water 3/day, and Shape Water 1/day.
- Red Gem of Ka: You can cast Burning Hands 2/day, and Conjure Woodland Beings 1/day.
- Yellow Gem of Fu: You can cast Gust of Wind 2/day, and Dimension Door 1/day.
- Black Gem of Ku: You can cast Darkness 2/day, and Phantasmal Killer 1/day.
If all gems are socketed in the Amenonuhoko, it gains the following benefits:
- You can cast the 9th level spell Conjure Land 2/day.
- After casting Conjure Land, you can use your bonus action to magically tether the spear in place, akin to an Immovable Rod. While set, you can command the spear to take actions and cast spells in an area around it as if you were still using it yourself. You no longer need to maintain attunement to the spear, nor need to use your action to cast said spells, as if the spear has a single action and bonus action each turn (that it can only use to cast spells), and itself is the caster.
When the spear is set, it cannot be un-set and removed unless a creature succeeds a DC 30 Athletics check, or DC 25 Arcana check. It does not cease to cast spells until after the holder attunes to it again.
Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
