You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
When the user of the Axe of Raging gets a critical hit, they become enraged under the Barbarian Class feature ruling-not bound by class, race, or any defining features.
Unless the character using the axe spends a bonus action to undo the Rage affect, it will last until the combat is over, until they roll a natural 1 to hit, or until they are hindered in a way that prevents action (unconscious, stunned, dead, etc).
This affect applies to every critical hit the user of Axe of Raging succeeds in. RAGING DOES NOT STACK. IF the affect applies to the user of the Axe of Raging 5 times in the same combat (whether currently activated or otherwise) the user becomes Exhausted at condition state 1 (Disadvantage on all ability checks). This condition continues to become higher for every successful critical hit and Rage activation following. the initial 5th critical hit.
NOTE: Switching the weapon out during combat does NOT reset the counter, but does prevent future accumulation until the previous conditions for Rage deactivation apply. (until the combat is over, until they roll a natural 1 to hit, or until they are hindered in a way that prevents action).
Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Attuned after a rest long or short, Damage, Combat, Heavy, Two-Handed, Cleave
