This extremely rare amulet is forged by powerful mage-smiths. Unique to the creation of these amulets, these mage-smiths are the closest of friends, sharing a strong emotional bond with one another that gets placed into their work. Feeding off the emotional energy of the mage's connection, their skill, and their powers, Amulets of the Interlinked Web provide those wearing it a potent aspect of connection.
Creatures wearing and attuned to this item will allow them to teleport next to another creature (in a 5 ft. rectangle that is a 10 ft high radius from them) that they have met who is also wearing and is attuned to an Amulet of the Interlinked Web.
- To teleport, you must hold the amulet in the palm of your dominant hand and squeeze hard while thinking about the person you wish to teleport to (if you do not have a "palm", then press down on it hard instead). For the next five minutes, the amulet emits a dim light in a 30 ft. sphere and an audible hum. At the end of the time, you, and everything you are wearing and holding* disappears from your last location and reappears next to the person you were thinking of. Both the disappearing and reappearing emits a loud POP.
- You will not teleport if there is not enough space for you to fully manifest without obstruction within a 5 ft. radius of the target. Water that reaches above your head from the floor counts as an obstruction. You will not teleport if you cannot manifest on solid, stable ground. You will not teleport into a trap or on a trap trigger. You will not teleport to an area that will be destroyed or filled with something else within the next thirty seconds. You will not teleport to an area that will restrict your breathing if you have not equipped appropriate gear to breathe.
- After teleporting, the amulet recharges over the course of 48 hours. While recharging, the item cannot be detected by Detect Magic, and can only be properly identified by a critical success on an Insight or Arcana check. The Identify spell will only tell the caster that it is a disguised magic item.
*If you hold onto an item while you teleport, that item can be carried with the teleport if it is no more than 80lbs+20*(STR modifier)lbs for normal sized creatures.
- For Small-sized creatures, the calculation is 80lbs+12*(STR modifier)lbs.
- For Large-sized creatures, the calculation is 90lbs+25*(STR modifier)lbs.
